Praise to the Man...Our beloved Prophet!

Tonight our wonderful Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinckley, has passed away. With the news, my heart immediately sunk because of the love for this magnificent prophet. Then my heart rejoiced in thinking of him being reunited with his wife, and thinking of the amazing forward bounds he has lead the church through, and then thinking of what a great missionary he will be on the other side, no longer limited by his old age. Tonight, we heard the news as we gathered in our weekly traditional ward prayer. There was a sweet spirit of reverence and understanding. President Hinckley was the prophet of each of us in our youth and has helped shape and mold each of our testimonies. There was a neat spirit of unity and compassion as each of us who were there tonight shared that same special connection with him. I am so grateful for the Prophet’s testimony and witness of Christ, as well as his optimistic personality. There is no cooincidence; we needed that sort of attitude to raise up this generation in the contrasting pessimistic world. I know that He was a prophet and mouthpiece of God, I love the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, I am so grateful for the work he has accomplished for our church. And I'm grateful that his legacy and love will live on and the work will press forward!

I am so grateful to you and your burning testimony! Thanks for being such a positive beacon to those around you. We won't ever forget where we were when we found out the news of the prophet, but we will never forget the legacy he left behind for our generation.
