The Adventure Goes On...

So as if Rexburg wasn't enough snow for me, Breckann and I packed up Saturday morning to go on another adventure.

Now, I have ridden the bus many times with absolutely no problems. Breck and I were going to meet up with her sisters to see a movie in Alpine. And the bus I normally take stops right where we needed to go. Also, the bus picks us up just right outside our apartment- it's perfect. The problems began when we missed our first bus, literally by seconds, we saw it drive down the street. We didn't know what to do- we called our roommate to see if she could help us catch up with the bus. But right then a friend pulled up (miracle!) and she asked if we needed a ride somewhere- we told her we needed to catch the bus, just seconds in front of us. We were so close and we thought we beat it, she dropped us off at a stop that was way in front of it and then we waited for the bus- but it was the wrong bus, we had missed ours again, but the bus driver told us to catch a different one about a block away that would take us right to the place we needed to go. So we ran over to that stop, to watch the bus pull away seconds before we got there! We were running, and laughing, and freezing cold by this point! My favorite part is that Breckann was going to bring all her laundry home to wash and so she got her giant blue duffle bag filled with clothes on this adventure. So all this time running and chasing busses- the big blue bag joined us. :) When we missed that bus, we just had to laugh because I had told Breckann so many times how easy riding the bus is- you jump on- you jump off- the end. But for some reason when Breckann and I are together, things never go according to plan, but they are always lots of fun. So Breckann called UTA and I called the movie theatre. By this point, the movie was going to start shortly, so we decided we should just go to a later movie. So we decided to wait inside Big-O tires were it was a little warmer for the next bus to come. We got on and made it safely to our destination. Because of other crazy events of the day, Breckann's dad ended up driving us home. I don't know if Breckann will ever ride the bus with me again :) but we sure had fun and felt many people watching out for us. After meeting up with her sisters- we went and got some pizza and saw Enchanted (so cute!) and went back to her house to do her laundry and dry our wet clothes from forging the snow all day.
I am grateful that when things don't go according to plan- they always work out better in the end. I'm grateful for cell phones. I'm grateful for a friend like Breckann that when it could have been a very stressful and miserable day, instead we laughed so hard and had so much fun, learning to roll with the punches!

What a darling picture of you guys! You do have an amazing outlook - and I love that you shared about the laundry bag throughout the whole thing - what an adventure! I think that is so great - your blog really is about your adventures!
