The big 22! This year was one of the best birthday's ever, deffinately the best this year! The week before my birthday, my dad came up to Provo and took me to Carrabba's for a daddy-daughter date. It was so much fun and the food was soooooo good! The left over's fed me the rest of the week, it was wonderful! I was so grateful to spend time with my sweet dad and that he would take time to come all the way to Provo to spend the night with me.
One of my favorite parts of my birthday has been to share that special day with my Gma. My favorite phone call of the day is always to her so wish and be wished a happy birthday. She was sweet to make dad and me steak and potatoes for Sunday dinner. It was fabulous!
Then on Thursday, my cute roommates kidnapped me for the evening. Breckann blindfolded me and took me all over Provo, then we ended up right across the street from where I live at Brick Oven to get some pizza. 
Then we went back to our apartment where my roommates had setup a tent in the family room while we were gone. When I walked in, all the lights were out and there was a recording of cricket and outdoor sounds in the background. My roommates were all sitting inside with flashlights. It was really funny. So we had our pizza like we were camping in the middle of no where, it even smelled like camping from the tent! My roommates knew I loved camping, so they thought it would be more fun then going out somewhere, it was way fun and very memorable. We laughed, ate and had a great time. 
Then later that night, I heard voices outside our door singing "Happy Birthday"! Breckann incouraged me to go outside, where a bunch of ward friends were out on the landing around a huge rain gutter FULL of ice cream! (they said it took 3 gallons of ice cream!) I had told my roommates how we had done that once at a family reunion and they wanted to do it some time, so they went all out for my birthday, there were even 22 lit candles lined down the gutter!
It was a very wonderful and memorable Birthday, thank you all for your kind notes, letters, phone calls, and gifts, it made it a very wonderful day! All of you who have access to read this, I have had to invite you, so I hold you near and dear to my heart and I am blessed to have had each of you rub off on me in the past 22 wonderful years. Thank You!

How fun! You really do have some of the best roomies in the world! I am sure that those friendships will last a lifetime. What a sweet idea! That is so cool that they did that and remembered what you had said! I had completely forgotten about that memory - what fun! And YOU are the one that is so wonderful and has rubbed off on us. Thanks for being the best little sis in the whole world!
