Memorable Memorial Day Weekend!

This holiday weekend has been packed with so many adventures! It all started Friday, when we planned on taking a little camping trip up the canyon with some roomies. Anyone who has been camping on Memorial Day weekend before knows that if you show up Friday night around 9:00pm, the chances of getting a camping spot are pretty slim. But we figured it was at least wortha try! So we optimistically went up the canyon, after borrowing all the gear we could ever need (thank mom and dad!) into little rusty. We drove up to Spruces and drove all over the canyon hoping to find a camping spot. And we finally found one! But the only problem is that they told up we would have to share the campfire with some other campers. We thought that could be kind of weird. So we decided just to head back down the canyon to Mom and Dad's house. We were still excited about the camping idea, so we just set up the tent in mom and dad's back yard and through our tin foil dinners in the oven! We still had such a good time laughing, talking, and singing around the campfire (which mom so kindly cleaned out her flowers from- it did make a very pretty flower pot!) And we even got to roast smores. It was great to have running water, electricity, and a very safe fenced in campsite right in the backyard!
