Here we go!

Day 1 Departure(April 25th, 2011):

Driving, and lots of it! Once the car was all packed, I just couldn't say good bye to my new found love...the grass plant. Breckann and her sister Breann accompanied me on my journey to the great unknown Northwest. I couldn't have asked for more wonderful, loving, and fun roadtrippers!
Me and my bestest, Breck in our positions for the next few hours... days, well...nearly weeks!

Throughout the journey, our grass friend aquired the name of Sylvia. She very much enjoyed the window seat and beautiful view of the great Northwest.Our first night was at a friend's house in Hermisten, OR. Now Hermasten is not your thriving motropolis. We felt like we were swept away into a foreign land of sheep and old country roads. We woke up to the chorus of cows in the pasture. We all just started giggling one by one as we were trying to sleep in and pretend not to hear the enthusiastic heart felt mooing of the morning. One of the highlights was coming on Monday night which is "jam night". The living room was full of the local town musicians with their banjos, guitars, fiddles, and an endless supply of folk songs. They were actually quite good! It was awesome . And a wonderful country cabin excursion!
She even had a little light/plant room so Sylvia had some friends for the sleepover. (checkout the awesome McGuiver skills of the light duct taped to the vacuum as a light stand! love it.)

This was our cozy room for the evening. You see that stack of blanket, we layered and layered and layered them on us and had quite a lovely and cozy country stay. Thank you sweet farm lady! (when I remember her name, I will fill it in latter)
